Registered Nurse – General Practice (Full-Time)
About the role
Rata Health is seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our busy GP clinic in Hamilton on a full-time basis. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages, working alongside our experienced team of GPs, nurses, and healthcare assistants.
What you’ll be doing
Providing comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and interventions
Supporting patients with long-term condition management (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular disease, COPD, CKD)
Managing acute presentations and assisting with triage in our Acute Clinic
Delivering immunisations, cervical smears, wound care, health checks, and patient education
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centred care
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing service development
What we’re looking for
Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
Primary care or general practice nursing experience preferred (but not essential — hospital/acute care nurses encouraged to apply)
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
Commitment to equity, cultural safety, and ongoing professional development
Proficiency in hospital systems, CWS, Medtech32, Evolution etc
